AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST (AFCAT)

Now Air Force has started this common exam for all the branches (i.e. Flying, technical and ground duty) twice a year notification in Jun/Dec. Examination will be conducted on the last Sunday of Aug/Feb as per notification.
As per the qualification and performance in exam (AFCAT) candidates are called for AFSB at Varanasi, Dehradun or Mysore.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates who apply with proper details will be called for AFCAT. Candidates who qualify in this test will be called for further test which will be done in three stages, Stage-I: Intelligence Test, Stage-II: Psychological Test, Group Test and Interview, Stage-III Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT).

How to Apply: 

The eligible and qualified candidates may send their application in prescribed format and filled the application in English, application can be typed or written as per the format given in the advertisement in A4 size paper, with two latest colour passport size photographs, one pasted on the application form and another one is attached the application form, along with two self addressed envelops, to the respective address given in the advertisement.

AFCAT Scheme of Syllabus:

1. The AFCAT Question Paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.

2. Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:-

(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

(b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.

(c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.

(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
